Beautiful Mauritius vibes 🌴🌊
The beach bar staff were super friendly, serving lekker cocktails right by the water. The lagoon is so chill for swimming, and the sunsets? Wow! Had a brekkie omelette made on the spot, a nice touch!
Food variety could be better. Felt a bit same-same after a few days.

The check-in process was frustrating, as I had to wait outside for over 45 minutes due to the staff's lack of communication. This experience caused unnecessary stress and left a negative impression on my stay.

The environment and service. The restaurant and the service staff was very good.
The soap dish was moldy. The toilet was smelly. The spa was very expensive.

The hotel is only 2 years old. It is very nice, rooms are comfortable and nice decorated, and have an extra size bed. The garden has many pretty flowers. Rooms are big (we had the superior room) and each has his own balcony. Staff is helpfull. Dinner buffet and Breakfast are very good, not only in the presentation, but also the taste. Every day another kind of dinner. To relax it is a good hotel. it has also Massage ( a little bit too expensive) and fitness room. Fortunately the hotel does not have music running all day long.
outside the hotel, there is not much to do.

- Remote location (could be seen as disadvantage) - Fairly modern - bathrooms by far the best we have seen in Mauritius - Dinner food variety and quality more than decent for HB/All-inclusive. - Seemingly good value for money even if paying for food/drinks on the HB basis.
- It is truly in the middle of nowhere - you are tied to spending all your holiday in the hotel which easily becomes mundane or pay ridiculous taxi fares. - Encouraging overcharging by taxi drivers by unreasonably high official 'hotel' fare rates (e.f. R 2200 for a <60 mins journey to the airport). - Gym is poor to say the least - do not expect to do any exercise there. - Breakfast food not as good as for dinner (limited variety).

I almost thought i'd give a good review, but the dramatics of check-in really ruined it. An excruciating 45 minutes waiting outside, and the staff barely spoke anything recognizable. Don't expect any upgrades. I mean, who wouldn't want a complimentary gesture? Rather disappointing, to say the least.

Relaxation in a beautiful setting
The staff's dedication to creating an enjoyable experience stood out, from the helpful reception to the attentive restaurant team. The room provided all essentials and was kept clean daily, contributing to a seamless holiday vibe. While the dining options were satisfactory, I felt that a wider variety of dishes could enhance the experience.

The check-in process was a hassle, with a frustrating wait time that could dampen anyone's spirits right at the start. While the food at meals generally covers basic options, it can feel repetitive. After a few days, you might find yourself longing for a bit of creativity in the menu. On weekends, expect the serenity to vanish as local families fill the space, turning tranquility into pandemonium rather quickly, particularly around the pool area. The Dodo bar's ambiance leaves much to be desired-it feels rather dated and lacks the vibe you'd want for an enjoyable evening.
